Exploding sky electronica

What a dramatic ending of 2008… we spent the evening in Cologne, along side of the Rhine. It was a war zone; in a country where every hillbilly can equip himself with mean firecracking mechanics, it is easy to spend the last minutes of the year in a colorful danger zone. As the year approached its edge I was caught between the urge to run for shelter (as, of the roughly 5000 firecraking maniacs within range, a large proportion lights the units at the wrong end) and the awefying effect of an exploding sky. Naturally, we mutated to maniacs ourselves, as soon as the really bad stuff was over. Solid evening…. anyways. My new year resolutions could be summarized, somewhat coarse, as the attempt to become a better person. 2008 was a high-speed, decision driven year, with dismal bits and pieces here and there. Appropriately, the audio to this post is fast paced, slightly gloomy and has got an attitude issue. The massive electronica of …

Long neglected sound

Recently, I have been plowing through the dusty parts of my music collection. Some of the old tunes re-ignited my enthusiasm for long forgotten bands, the classics of my distant, uhm, youth. I felt inclined to spread the word. Well… the one combo that I am still feeding off, nearly daily, is

Strangely, I find that most people I talk to either like or dislike
CAKE- no in-betweens. I guess I consider that a good sign. The choice of tune for this cast I found difficult. Meanwhile Rick James was a hot candidate, who takes her nude, as was Commissioning A Symphony In C which defies all earthly descriptions (both of the 2001 Album “Comfort Eagle”). I also toy…

One word about valid XHTML

I just would like to point out: evomatics.org is, from the side of all the ruby html templates, valid
XHTML 1.0 strict. However, the incorporation of javascript on some of the pages (particularly evomatics weblogic) ends up rendering these pages invalid. Strictly, I would have to remove the icon from the bottom. However, I have chosen to leave it there as I still feel it is important to unlink style and markup, and have done so
wherever possible. It is possible to escape the events of javascript somehow, and I plan to do so in the near furture. Just so you know.
