Big man, small instrument

One of the things I was sure of when I was a teenager was that I had understood the vibes of things, how the cogwheels turn. Today, strangely enough, its more like the older I get, the less I understand. This is not to be some sentimental, often heard comment. I am in fact very neutral making that statement. Perhaps, as you get bigger, so does your scope; where a handful of simple variables used to suffice to describe the things around you, today they are barely enough to describe your coffee preferences (notice subtle reference to stupid cup sizes where tall means small). Along that line, ignorance is a virtue. But that doesn’t always work. A recent conversation with a friend of mine was an eye-opener. Somethings just can’t be ignored. That said, keeping positive thinking seems like a good strategy. Perhaps an even better strategy would be to move some small, north pacific island, to smaller the scope. Be close to the ocean, a good rock venue, and a well equipped kitchen (with a steady supply of fresh kümmel). For the ears, attitude and upon specific request I bring you a large man from a small island playing on a seemingly small instrument… enjoy.
